Juried by Dilip Bhatia and selected among +2900 images submitted from 42 countries, Enrique López-Tapia, from  Madrid, Spain, was awarded as Photographer of the Year, Professional Section, in the 2012 edition of The Pollux Awards, and Wendy Sacks, from Rochester, NY, United States, was awarded as Photographer of the Year, Non Professional Section.Especial Mention of the Juror: Paolo Patruno, for his series Malaria.

The following Photographers have been awarded as Photographers of the Year and Runners Up in the respective Categories in both Pro and Non Pro Sections, in Single Image and Series.
